Wilder Main Production Training/Safety

This is a training provided to productions that walks through how to properly and safely set up a production. This takes no more than 20 minutes.

Lighting Design 101

A 1-day lighting design class taught by students that starts in the Theater Complex light lab and ends in Warner Main. We also briefly touch on how to approach lighting in Wilder Main.

Tech Anywhere

A half day training on doing productions in unconventional venues and locations. We will cover how to safely and properly transport and set up equipment.

Wilder Main Maintenance

All technical staff working in Wilder Main are required to attend at least 1 maintenance workshop

OSTA/OMTA Wilder 400 Cleaning Party

We clean and take inventory of the Wilder 400 equipment closet. In cooperation with OSTA/OMTA.

Certifications

We are more likely to select you for a production if you are certified to use the space/equipment/system

Wilder Main Technical Certification

Required to work in Wilder Main. Received by completing the "Lighting and Sound in Wilder Main" training or through an apprenticeship with another certified technician (this includes positions like ALD)

Warner Main Technical Certification

Recommended for working in Warner. Received by completing the "Lighting and Sound in Warner Main" training or through an apprenticeship with another certified technician (this includes positions like ALD)

Online Trainings and certifications

When completed, please send us your certification so we can add it to your membership profile

DAnte Level 1 Certification

This ensures basic knowledge of the Dante digital audio system. Because Dante is progressively becoming more prevelent both at Oberlin and in the industry, we highly reccomend all members complete this certification.
